About these T&Cs

 

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase of integrated Electric Vehicle (EV) and Solar Energy packages from Solar Europe (Pty) Ltd (“Solar Europe”). By accepting a quote or placing an order, the Customer (End-User or EPC/Installer) agrees to be bound by these provisions.

  • Solar Europe offers integrated packages consisting of:

    • Electric Vehicle: Geely E2 Aspire (standard), with upgrade options to Geely E2 Apex, Geely E5 Aspire, or Geely E5 Apex.

    • Charging Infrastructure: 7kW AC Charger (standard), with upgrade options to DC Fast Chargers.

    • Solar Energy System: 12kW Solar System, 36kWh Energy Storage, and maximum PV Peak (standard), with upgrade options to larger or 3-phase systems.

  • The purchase price covers the supply of hardware and vehicles only. The following are strictly excluded from the package price and Solar Europe’s responsibility:

    • Installation: Physical installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and EV chargers.

    • Certificates of Compliance (COC): Any electrical or structural certifications required by law.

    • Additional Logistics: Crane hire, specialized mounting structures, or electrical cabling beyond the standard kit.

    • Ancillary Costs: Any additional costs incurred by the EPC or End-User during the deployment of the system.

    • Independent Contractors: EPCs and Solar Installers are independent entities and are not agents, employees, or partners of Solar Europe.

    • No Recommendations/Referrals: Solar Europe does not recommend or refer specific installers to End-Users. End-Users may utilize the Solar Europe Client Zone's Find a Solar Installer feature to find local installers at their own discretion and risk.

    • Vetting: Solar Europe assumes no liability for the workmanship, conduct, or contractual defaults of any installer found via the Client Zone.

  • Due to market volatility, the following pricing protocols apply:

    • Validity: Quotes issued to EPCs/Installers are valid for a period of 24 hours only.

    • Fluctuations: All pricing is subject to change without notice based on stock availability, market trends, USD/ZAR exchange rates, and changes in import taxes or duties.

    • Tiered Pricing: Solar Europe maintains two distinct price structures: one for registered EPCs/Installers and one for End-Users. Eligibility for EPC pricing is at the sole discretion of Solar Europe.

  • Solar Europe acts primarily as an importer and distributor.

    • Solar & Hardware: Solar Europe does not provide any warranties on products other than those manufactured directly by Solar Europe. Standard manufacturer warranties (as per datasheets or brochures) apply.

    • Electric Vehicles: All vehicle warranties, vehicle battery warranties, service plans, and roadside assistance are provided directly by Geely. Solar Europe holds no liability, directly or indirectly, for vehicle performance or warranty claims.

    • Warranty Adjudication: Warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer’s discretion. Solar Europe is not responsible for the rejection of claims by third-party manufacturers.

  • Warranties on any component (Vehicle or Solar) shall be deemed void in the event of:

    • Tampering & Modifications: Any unauthorized electrical or mechanical modifications to the vehicle or solar hardware.

    • Improper Installation: Failure to have the solar system or EV charger installed by a qualified professional in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

    • Misuse: Operation of the vehicle or solar system outside of the prescribed environmental or technical parameters.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solar Europe shall not be liable for any consequential, indirect, or incidental damages, including but not limited to loss of power, loss of income, or damage to property arising from the use or failure of the supplied products. Solar Europe’s total liability shall never exceed the purchase price of the specific product in dispute.

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
